F.A.S.T. RTA™ Training Course

Who Should Attend: Engineers and technologists involved in any of the following areas: exploitation, reserves, production / operations and well testing. In general, this course will benefit any oil and gas professional interested in getting more mileage out of their production and flowing pressure data.

Pre-requisites: F.A.S.T. Harmony™/ F.A.S.T. DeclinePlus™ 1 day course.

General Notes: For your convenience we have aligned the dates of our Fekete Harmony™ / F.A.S.T. DeclinePlus™, F.A.S.T. RTA™ and Unconventional Gas Workshop training courses so they can be taken consecutively. Clients registering in two of these courses will receive a $100 discount. Clients registering in all three courses will receive a $400 discount.

Basic Windows navigation skills are recommended. Participants are encouraged to bring their own data as time will be allotted to go through examples in class.

Course Description

This course provides a comprehensive methodology for production data analysis that combines the use of several powerful techniques. Participants will learn how to:

Identify reservoir and well flow regimes
Determine reserves, OGIP/OOIP and drainage area
Determine reservoir parameters such as permeability, skin, fracture half length /conductivity
Perform production data history match using advanced analytical and numerical history match models
Assess well performance and identify optimization candidates
Assess data quality and qualify analysis uncertainty

Course Instructors

	Eli Rofagha, M. Eng., P. Eng. Eli Rofagha is a F.A.S.T. RTA™ technical advisor and support engineer with Fekete Associates. He is a graduate of the University of Calgary and has been with Fekete since 2007. He specializes in the field of production data analysis and uses the software on a regular basis to analyze production data for clients. His course offers a combination of RTA theory and various practical examples and case studies and addresses the challenges engineers face when analyzing their production data in real life.
	Dave Anderson, P. Eng. Dave Anderson is Vice President, Software at Fekete overseeing the development of all Fekete applications. He has worked at Fekete since 1996, and has experience in reservoir and production engineering, gas gathering system analysis and well test analysis. He is a recognized expert in the field of Production Data Analysis and uses F.A.S.T. RTA™ regularly to evaluate production data for clients. His course covers not only the theory but also the practical aspects associated with analyzing real-world production data.
	Larry Brown, P. E. Larry Brown is an independent Petroleum Engineering consultant and trainer for F.A.S.T. RTA™. Larry has nearly forty years of reservoir engineer experience working for, training and consulting with independent, major and international oil companies, with emphasis on well test analysis and production analysis. His course is focused on understanding the theoretical basis of modern production analysis and applying those principles in daily practice.
