Fekete
Software & Services

Fekete provides an integrated team of reservoir engineers, geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, production engineers, simulation engineers and computer specialists for detailed reservoir studies. The results combine all aspects of static and dynamic modeling into a comprehensive reservoir model that yields additional reserves and successful drilling locations. A sample of past projects include waterflood design and optimization, EOR optimization, oil material balance, infill drilling and pool depletion strategies, low permeability gas deliverability studies, gas cap blowdown studies, gas storage, water disposal and acid gas disposal.

Reservoir Simulation

Simulation is a powerful tool for understanding reservoir fluid migration. In order to meet the client’s specific objectives, Fekete ensures that the simulation process is carefully thought out in terms of the data and the ability to construct a thorough, representative model. All simulation projects commence with a detailed review of data quality and scoping analysis of data uncertainty on simulation results.

Preparation of the dynamic pressure and production data involves a screening process that uses practical oilfield experience. For example, completion reports are diligently reviewed for frac effectiveness, perforation timing, injector/producer pair behaviour, and more. The results are fed back to the static model description to fine-tune fault seal analysis or undetected stratigraphic barriers.

Simulation proceeds only after the scoping analysis determines that the integrated reservoir characterization model is representative of the reservoir and that it will generate trustworthy results, and that it is economically justified. After history matching, multiple realizations are run to investigate the full range of possible outcomes. The results of past studies have yielded additional reserves and successful drilling locations.
