Agarwal-Gardner Type Curve

Given the gas production rates and flowing bottomhole pressures, the AG type curve can be used to estimate permeability, skin and Original-Gas-In-Place. This phase of the typecurve is suited toward dry gas applications.

Flowing Material Balance

Using concept of flowing material balance, modify it to flowing p/Z* versus cumulative gas production. Use gas production rates and flowing bottomhole pressure to perform flowing material balance.

Variable Bottomhole Flowing Pressure

Can be specified as a variable changing with time. Bottomhole flowing pressure profiles can be entered as a series of steps and linear segments representing a more realistic pressure schedule.

Isotherm/Volumetrics

Visually compare measured gas content of coal to the Langmuir isotherm. Generate volumetric estimates of the recovery factor & recoverable reserves based on abandonment pressure or abandonment CO2 fraction. Calculate total gas-in-place & differentiate between adsorbed gas and free gas.

Binary Langmuir Isotherm

Monitor the fraction of CO2 in the produced gas by modeling the binary mixture of CH4 and CO2 using Extended Langmuir Isotherm.

Deliverability Forecasting

Forecast gas and water rates, as well as average reservoir pressure and water saturation. Use the multi-well option to quickly determine optimal drill spacing for play areas.

History Matching

Import historical data and match them to determine reservoir parameters (permeability, skin, drainage area, and porosity).

Multi-Layer Modeling

Model multi-zone coal and sand reservoirs using the multi-layer feature.

Risk Analysis

Use risk analysis to perform statistical prospect evaluation and conceptual modeling using Monte Carlo simulation.
