Installing Fekete software onto a network server must be performed from a workstation. The installer must be logged on as a member of the Administrators group and have read, write and execute permissions on the network share/folder.
1.1 Log on as a member of the Administrators group to the computer on which to install Fekete software.
1.2 Insert the Fekete software CD into the disk drive. The Fekete software installation window appears automatically. Click the Fast <Software> icon. In this example, it is the FAST CBM icon. If the software installation window does not launch automatically, navigate to the disk drive and double-click Launch.exe to start the Fekete software installation.
1.3 The Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for F.A.S.T. <Software> dialog appears. Click Next to continue.
1.4 The User Information dialog appears. Enter your User Name, Company Name, and Serial Number ( located on the CD sleeve). When all required fields have been entered properly, the Next button is enabled. Click Next to continue.
1.5 The License Agreement dialog appears. Read over the license agreement. Click Yes to accept the terms and continue with the installation. Click No to exit from the installation.
1.6 The Choose Destination Location dialog appears. The default installation directory is set to C:\Fast\<Software>. Click Next to continue.

Click Browse to remove the default path and specify a mapped network share or UNC path, or enter the installation directory path manually, and then click Next to continue.
1.7 The Setup Status dialog appears. At this stage, the installation wizard will configure your system and copy Fekete software files onto your computer. Please wait for the process to finish.
1.8 The Create Desktop folder dialog appears. Choose one of the following options and click Next to continue:
1.9 The InstallShield Wizard Complete dialog appears. Click Finish. The Fekete License Manager and License Service must be installed and configured to work with this software before it can be opened. Proceed to Part 2 if you do NOT have the Fekete License Manager and License Service installed. If the Fekete License Manager and License Service have been installed, proceed to Part 4.
2.1 Return to the Fekete software installation window. Click the Fekete License Service button.
2.2 The Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for License Service dialog appears. Click Next to continue.
2.3 The License Agreement dialog appears. Read over the license agreement. Click Yes to accept the terms and continue with the installation. Click No to exit from the installation.
2.4 The default installation directory is set to C:\Fast\Fekete License Service. You may choose another location in which to install the software by clicking Browse. Click Next to continue.
2.5 The Setup Status dialog appears. At this stage, the installation wizard will configure your system and copy Fekete software files onto your computer. Please wait for the process to finish.
2.6 Read the warning message on the Firewall Settings Warning dialog. Click Next to continue with installation.
2.7 The InstallShield Wizard Complete dialog appears. Click Finish. Proceed to Part 3 of this installation manual and install the Fekete License Manager.
The Fekete License Manager is an utility used to configure the network licensing information for Fekete software.
3.1 Return to the Fekete software installation and window and click the Fekete License Manager button.
3.2 The Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for License Manager dialog appears. Click Next to continue.
3.3 The License Agreement dialog appears. Read over the license agreement. Click Yes to accept the terms and continue with the installation. Click No to exit from the installation.
3.4 The Choose Destination Location dialog appears. The default installation directory is set to C:\Fast\Fekete License Manager. You may choose another location in which to install the software by clicking Browse. Click Next to continue.
3.5 The Setup Status dialog appears. At this stage, the installation wizard will configure your system and copy Fekete software files onto your computer. Please wait for the process to finish.
3.6 The Launch Fekete License Manager dialog appears. Choose Yes to launch the application once setup has completed, otherwise select No. Click Next to continue.
3.7 The InstallShield Wizard Complete dialog appears. Click Finish.
4.1 Launch the Fekete License Manager application.
4.2 The Fekete License Manager window appears. Enter the Server Name and click Connect.
4.3 Select the License tab and then click the Add button.
4.4 The Open file dialog appears. Navigate to the folder on the network where the FAST application was installed and select the fast.inifile. Click Open to continue.
4.5 The Fekete License Manager splash screen appears. Read the message that appears in the window. Click the Exit button.
4.6 Return to the Fekete License Manager dialog. On the License tab, most text fields should be populated with data. You are required to get a Verification ID to activate the license. Click the Get …ID button.
4.7 After clicking the Get …ID button, the Software Verification ID web page appears. Enter all fields and click Submit.
4.8 The web browser redirects you to the F.A.S.T. <Software> - Verification ID page. Select the Verification ID text and use Ctrl-C to copy the set of numbers.
4.9 Paste the clipboard contents into the Verification ID field. Click the Update Server button.
5.0 Launch the Fekete application. The Fekete software splash screen appears.
This part of the installation should be performed on specific clients/workstations that need access to the software. Theclient installation was copied to the server during the server-side installation. It is located in a sub-folder called NetSetup.
5.1 Navigate to the installation folder where the Fekete application was installed, on the network server. The client installation is located in the NetSetup folder. Open the NetSetup folder.
5.2 Double-click the setup.exe file in the NetSetup folder.
5.3 The Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for F.A.S.T. <Software> NetSetup dialog appears. Click Next to continue.
5.4 The Choose Destination Location dialog appears. The default installation directory is set to C:\Fast\<Software>. You may choose another location in which to install the software by clicking Browse, or by entering the installation directory path. Click Next to continue.
5.5 The Setup Status dialog appears. At this stage, the installation wizard configures your system and copy Fekete software files onto your computer. Please wait for the process to finish.
5.6 The Create Desktop Folder dialog appears. Choose one of the following options and click Next to continue:
